Positive: The apartment is very spacious, clean and well equipped. Everything was spotless on arrival: the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, fridge, dishes and bed linen. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels and toiletries, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher, microwave, kettle and coffee machine. The air conditioning works very well in all rooms and is quiet. The Wi-Fi is excellent. The living room is particularly comfortable, with a huge sofa and a very large TV – we really enjoyed watching movies on it. The location is very convenient and the neighbourhood is quiet. There are plenty of shops nearby, including a pharmacy and grocery store in the same building and a small Shufersal just across the street. The host was always available and easy to contact. Self check-in with the key in a lockbox was also very convenient. Overall, the apartment itself is large, comfortable and very suitable for a family or a longer stay.
Negative: Things to improve: The biggest issue is that the apartment is advertised as having three bedrooms, but in reality there are only two separate bedrooms. The additional sleeping space is a fold-out bed/couch in the corridor next to one of the bedrooms. One of the two actual bedrooms also has no window. One bed is positioned in a recess against the walls, so it can only be accessed from the foot of the bed. There is no elevator, and reaching the apartment requires climbing about 45 steps on a fairly narrow staircase, which is important to know if you have luggage or mobility difficulties. We also had problems with hot water: it was available properly in only one shower, but not in the second bathroom or at the kitchen sink. Some electrical outlets near the beds were loose and came partly out of the wall, several lights did not work, and one bedside lamp was inconvenient to operate. There was also an unpleasant smell from the ventilation shaft when the bathroom ventilation windows were opened, so we kept them closed. Free parking is only available along the surrounding streets and can be difficult to find. There is a large parking area directly in front of the building, but it is paid blue-and-white parking. Finally, the check-in/check-out arrangement was disappointing. Check-in was supposed to be at 3:00 pm, but the apartment was not ready until approximately 5:20 pm. Despite this delay of more than two hours, on departure day someone came to clean the apartment right at 11:00 am and was already at the door just before checkout time. After losing more than two hours at check-in, this felt unnecessarily rigid and was the most frustrating part of our stay.
